Project Description

Taylor serves is the playback programmer for Disney’s Frozen on Broadway. He is responsible for the click track for the show, seamless integration of certain pre-recorded enhancements, and transmission of linear time code to the Sound Department for redistribution to all technical departments. It is this single element, triggered from either the conductor or drummer position, which keeps many of the shows magical effects synchronized with the music.

Additionally, Taylor was the Associate Synthesizer Programmer for the Broadway production. In order to realize David Metzger’s vision for the show, Frozen uses one of the most powerful rigs ever assembled for MainStage. The result is well worth the extra horsepower.

For the US tour playback switched to QLab and the keyboard programming has been moved to Christoph Buskies KeyComp product. Taylor has been a part of both sides of this transition.
